I believe this rattling is a good thing, but some people just can’t deal with it. Crazy fonts, upsidedown pages, etc. Feb 12, Jakey rated it did not like it. Plus, any book that encourages people to take control of their own lives and find a way to really ‘live’ instead of just existing, is always going to get an extra star from me. Or a necessary critique? You have to keep in mind that this is motivational writing, and if you’re the target audience, it’s just about the best motivational writing you’ll ever see.
Hopefully crimetuinc book will encourage other criimethinc writing styles.

Writings are on a wide variety of topics from sex to consumerism to theft to love to anarchism and hierarchy. When you make it to the end, the personal testimonials about not working and the closing art pieces become an aria of voices urging you to close the book and live. It presents an easy to read situationist perspective, and its just plain fun.
If you are new to anarchism, look elsewhere for an introduction, this book has unrealistic views about how to go about it, and seems to erase class issues as anything but self-inflicted. What makes it so complete is the beautiful layout and artwork that graces each page. The fault I had with this book was that I was hoping for more than a ‘love story for anarchists. A manifesto for building a new world that should be on the bookshelf of every idealist, student, punk rocker, worker and ex-worker, poet, and lover.
An anti-capitalist manifesto with an argument riddled with contradictions and false narratives but mostly overly simplified. When I first got this book, it was really exciting! What a powerful book this was. There are five of ’em up there because I think that it’s good that someone put all of these articles in one spot for the kids.
I know that, for myself, a book like Evasion provided inspiration for me at a time when inspiration was all I was looking for. Much has been said and dismissed of Days of War, Nights of Love since it was released ten years ago, so I’ll mostly stick with the positive stuff that can easily be gleaned from this book if one reads it with an open mind.

Sep 27, Jeff rated wwar it was amazing. Days of War Nights of Love. That’s when you really start living. It presents an easy to read situationist per I had mixed feelings about this book. No sane person could ever expect to take these anarchist ideas seriously.
The material for the subjects are all from anarchist point of views so this serves as an interesting introduction to various anarchist ways of thinking for those new to it. That’s when you’ll really start learning things and also stand in awe of existence. This book claims that: If a fairly inspiring rant is what you’re looking for, though, then you’re in the right place. Less of a novel and more of an exploded manifesto, Days of War, Nights of Love might be just what we need.
